ANGUS Offers Customer Solutions for Personal Care and Cosmetics Market

Around the world, personal care and cosmetics products are regulated by strict government directives, making it a challenge for formulators to find base materials that offer excellent color stability and primary amine functionality while adhering to the stringent guidelines. With one of the widest ranges of base strengths in the market, the ULTRA™ PC portfolio of neutralizers and buffers from ANGUS Chemical Company (“ANGUS”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, helps to ease formulation concerns by supplying customers with amino alcohols that meet global directives for the personal care and cosmetics market. Recently introduced personal care and cosmetics directives include the Hygienic Standards for Cosmetics (2007 version), set forth by the Ministry of Health (MOH) of the People's Republic of China, effective July 1 of this year, and the upcoming ASEAN Cosmetics Directive, effective January 1, 2008.

The ULTRA PC portfolio was successfully introduced in 2004 to meet the European Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC, including the latest amendments, and includes AMP-ULTRA™ PC Neutralizing Amine, TRIS AMINO™ ULTRA PC Tromethamine Buffer and AMPD™ ULTRA PC Neutralizing Amine.
